Although this takes care of the initial problem it constantly causes greater problems later on in life. The reasons why this happens are;.

First of all, Canadian's are creatures of habit. By a consolidation loan you are only masking the vital problem, your habits. Although a consolidation loan will satisfy your primary debt it wont deal with your spending habits. Usually Canadian's getting consolidation loans to eliminate their debt end up in twice the debt they started with.

This being the other reason consolidation loans won't help. After Canadian's eliminate their credit cards or lines of credit it gives them freedom to revolving credit, causing the process to repeat itself again. Often times Canadian's end up with their credit maxed out again, as well as, the consolidation loan that they borrowed in the first place.

The most routine comment I hear as a debt manager is "I need to get a consolidation loan to re-pay my accounts", "I never want to use unsecured debt again". In theory this is fantastic but often times doesn’t happen

Greg Martin
Credit Advisor
Phoenix Credit and Debt Counsellors
Free Debt Consolidation
